Pussy Picnic ha nacido de la necesidad de crear un espacio de investigación en lenguajes performáticos y narrativas contemporáneas desde la intimidad y la perspectiva de género reflexionando sobre la identidad y el concepto de cuerpo colectivo.
Son residentes del espacio La Infinita de l"Hospitalet donde crearon su primera performance, la de las flores, que estrenaron en el Pre-Opening en noviembre de 2018. Han viajado a Roma para presentarla en el vernissage de ROLEPLAY, una exposición de THE ORANGE GARDEN en colaboración con POSTMASTERS GALLERY New York.
Actualmente están preparando el segundo capítulo de su narrativa, la Inmersiva, que se estrenará próximamente en La Infinita de l'Hospitalet.
Pussy Picnic es un subcolectivo de artistas dentro del colectivo VVAA, compuesto por Elena Martín, Anna Serrano, Carla Linares Laura Araceli, Clàudia Serrahima, Alba Saez, Clara Aguilar, Jimpac Sánchez, Sofia Gallarate y Laura Weissmahr.
Pussy Picnic was born out of the necessity to create a space to investigate performative languages and contemporary narrative form through intimacy, gender theory and the concept of collective body.
We are currently residents at La Infinita de L'Hospitalet, where we created our first performance "chapter 1: the one with the flowers", which we premiered at the pre-opening event of the space. We also showed this piece in Rome at the vernissage of the exhibition "ROLE PLAY" curated by THE ORANGE GARDEN and POSTMASTERS GALLERY New York. They have also performed at Rizoma Festival and the opening night of Abaixadors10.
Currently we are working on our second piece, the immersive one: which will be an immersive performative experience throughout a whole night of events which will be held at la Infinita de l'Hospitalet in 2020.
Pussy Picnic is the performative branch of the VVAA collective, it's current collaborators are: Elena Martín, Anna Serrano, Alba Saez, Carla Linares, Laura Araceli, Claudia Serrahima, Clara Aguilar, Jimpac Sanchez, Sofia Gallarate and Laura Weissmahr.
